Our reclaimed woods are sourced from antique barns and factories across the United States. We are constantly receiving calls from landowners who have antique barns that have outlived their usefulness and quite honestly may not be safe.
If they can be saved, we try to provide the owners with the appropriate beams from our inventory to save these land-marks. Some may not be able to be saved and we then will start the process of recovering the wood. This labor intensive process starts with the dismantling of an old barn or factory and carefully taking it apart to preserve the timbers. The wood then gets transported back to our facility where all the metal is located in the beams with metal detectors and carefully removed.
Each beam is maximized for a particular width and cut into planks. These planks are then placed in our own kiln to be dried. There is careful selection of each board that makes its way into our production and finally to your home. It is a hand crafted process and the final product is unparalleled. We can produce both solid and engineered flooring. Many looks can be achieved in your home by using the different cuts of the antique woods that we process. From formal to down home country. It is a good feeing to know that a tree that started to grow over 400 years ago will again be used in your homes tells a story and we hope that our flooring will be part of your families' stories for generations to come.
